Welcome fellow members of the American Association of Museums to our beautiful Twin Cities!  Exhibits Development Group is fortunate to have a partnership with one of our historic gems, Hotel Ivy, A Luxury Collection Hotel  in Minneapolis.  EDG and Hotel Ivy are pleased to give AAM members a sneak preview of our exhibition, Liberace: Remixed

Liberace remains one of the most influential entertainers in show business.   His flambouant extravagance with Swarovski adorned costumes, luxurious furs, glimmering candelabras and sumptuously adorned pianos were unmatched in his time. Come see first-hand, the artistic beauty of the Liberace collection and the award winning exhibition designer’s interpretation of this self-made prodigy.  Liberace remains one of the highest paid entertainers in history, with the largest fan base and the most unique stage presence that lasted nearly four decades.  The exhibition will focus on the Liberace collection, a much overdue tribute celebrating the iconic Midwesterner.  It will also highlight the influence of Liberace on other famous singers including Michael Jackson, Elvis, Lady Gaga and most recently, CeeLo Green, who is opening “Lo-berace” at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Only four American venues will be able to participate in this international tour!  Timing is perfect to play host to this exhibition that will attract young and old alike – Matt Damon, Michael Douglas, Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange have recently annouced their roles in Soderbergh's HBO film on Liberace's life, sure to draw renewed attention to the life and work of this extraordinary artist.

Liberace: Remixed is organized with the Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts, Las Vegas, Nevada
