Bungala Solar ProjectConstruction is set to begin on the 300-megawatt Bungala project, located 12km from Port Augusta. Phase 1 of the project aims to produce 200MW and on completion would be able to power around 82,000 homes. The first electricity will be supplied to the grid by 1st quarter 2018, reaching full operation by the 3rd quarter. View article

Riverland Solar Storage announcedThe Lyon Group has announced a $1 billion solar and battery storage project will open in the Riverland later this year. “330MW solar generation and 100MW battery storage system will be Australia’s biggest solar farm with 3.4 million solar panels and will also include 1.1 million batteries,” said Lyon Partner David Green . Leigh Creek Energy project receives backingLeigh Creek Energy has secured $20 million from a Hong Kong-based investor. The investments provides the capital required to complete pre-commercial demonstration (PCD) for LCE's in-situ gasification project, which would see coal converted to a synthesised gas (syngas) by burning it underground and bringing it to the surface.
