Kindergarten eNews

We had a great short week to start off the new semester. It was fun hearing about the amazing things your families did for Christmas. This New Year will be INCREDIBLE!

Next Week

  • Unit Study: We will learn about different polar animals that God created.
  • Show and Tell: One thing that your child received for Christmas (must be small enough to fit inside their backpack)
  • Bible: We will continue studying Christ’s life and ministry.
  • Bible Verse: "And He said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.'" - Matthew 4:19
  • Reading: We will review short vowel sounds /e/ and /i/, learn new sight words, and continue guided readers.
  • Math: We will review addition and counting skills as well as introduce wholes/parts of wholes and equal parts.

Important Dates

  • January 21 - No School, Observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • January 22 - 100th Day of School (if there are no snow days before then)
  • Reminder: The weather is very cold now, so please remember to send a jacket or coat with your child’s name on it every day.  Thank you!
