Fundamentals in Recycling Planning
course available online, anytime!

With everything happening, we know a lot of staff are finding themselves with altered work duties and schedules. Now might be the time to take CIF’s Fundamentals in Recycling Planning. The course is available online, anytime, and is free of charge. It can be accessed from any smartphone, tablet, or computer, so you can work your way through it from wherever you’re at, especially those of you working remotely from home.

The Course

If you’re new to the waste sector, or looking for a refresher
on the basics of blue box planning, this course is for you. 

  • 9 Modules 
    (20 minutes to 
    2 hours each)
  • 21 to 28 hours total
  • Comprehensive final exam

Focus on:

  • basics of legislation, markets, processing, collections, promotion & education, and Blue Box policies
  • measuring and monitoring program impacts
  • presenting consolidated plans to senior management and/or council
