Spring at Intuition Ale

April is shaping up to be another fun-filled month at Intuition Ale! The nice weather means our open-air brewery bar will be open on Fridays and Saturdays so you can hang out, play cornhole or foosball and eat delicious barbecue from Monroe's-on-the-Go! We're also planning some fun special events for later in the month so watch your email for further details.

River Month

April is River Month! We will be donating $1 from every beer sold on Thursdays for Women’s Intuition Nights to the St. Johns Riverkeeper.

We’ve brewed a special brew exclusively for River Month: the Riverkeeper Red. It’s an aggressively-hopped amber ale with aromas of tangerine, orange, spice and earth. You’ll find notes of caramel, toffee and orange peel in the flavor. Come by this month to try it and check out our rain barrel in the tap room!

The mission of the St. Johns Riverkeeper is to work on behalf of the community for clean and healthy waters in the St. Johns River, its tributaries and its wetlands, through citizen-based advocacy. Learn more at www.stjohnsriverkeeper.org.

BBQ. Sorbet. Beer. Yes.

Throughout the spring Monroe's-on-the-Go - the mobile food truck operated by Monroe's Smokehouse Catering - will be parked in our courtyard on Friday and Saturday evenings! They have an amazing menu of appetizers (fried okra, onion rings, brisket nachos), smoked meats (pork, brisket, turkey, ribs) and classic sides (mac n cheese, collards, baked beans, coleslaw) as well as some killer chicken wings - all at very reasonable prices. It doesn't get any more classic than barbecue and beer!

Check out a video of Monroe's-on-the-Go here and photos of their BBQ on our Facebook page.

Seacow Confections will also be parked at the brewery on Friday and Saturday evenings. Their hand-crafted artisanal sorbets and popsicles are perfect for the warm weather!

For the time being we will no longer have a food option at the brewery on Wednesday or Thursday so it's BYOF - plan ahead and Bring Your Own Food or place a delivery order while you're here. We'll provide the beer!

Slow Down, people!

We are proud to announce that we will be awarded a Slow Food First Coast Snail of Approval this month! The Snail is awarded to restaurants, bars, food and beverage artisans, and retailers in recognition of their contributions to the quality, authenticity and sustainability of the food supply of the First Coast region of Florida.

In celebration of this honor we are hosting a Slow Down event at the brewery on Friday, April 29th. It'll be a food fair of sorts and will bring together Jacksonville-based food businesses that have been awarded the Snail of Approval. Come by to meet local chefs, artisans and farmers, enjoy food samples, browse informational booths and participate in a raffle to benefit Slow Food First Coast.

So far the following local Snails have committed to participating and we are working on recruiting more!: Restaurant Orsay, Chew Restaurant , Bakery Moderne, Eat Your Yard Jax, Bold Bean Coffee Roasters, Seacow Confections and Trad's of Jacksonville Garden Center.
