The Sheridan Center's 2015-16 Certificate V Program
The Sheridan Center’s Certificate V program provides training in mentorship practices to prepare graduate students to become effective faculty research mentors and advisors at colleges and universities around the world. Graduate student mentors will receive training in positive mentorship principles and practices. Through monthly faculty-led discussions, graduate students will cultivate a broader understanding of the academy, contextualize the role of training, advising and mentorship in becoming successful scholars, and explore how they can develop their career networks. They will gain practical experience as mentors in an academic setting and be provided with a research stipend for their project. More information about Certificate V and the application process is available at the Sheridan Center website; the deadline to apply for Certificate V is May 12.
