Asian American Leaders Call for a Clean DREAM Act and Other Immigrant Protections
On January 17, 2018, on the steps of City Hall, CPC joined the Asian American Federation (AAF), elected officials, immigrant advocates, and community allies to call on Congress to pass a clean DREAM Act and other immigrant protections before the federal spending bill is enacted.

Great Thanks for a Heartfelt Donation for Special Needs Programming
Our heartfelt thanks to Walter Kaner Children Foundation, Mr. David Fu and Mrs. Cindy Fu, Founder of Fu Generation Foundation, for their continued generosity and support of CPC's Special Needs programming in Queens. Their long term support has allowed our Special Needs individuals to experience a sense of community by providing our families with a safe space to network with one another and create an extended family.
CPC Hosts Korea Christian University Social Work Students
On January 23, 2018, CPC was delighted to welcome Korea Christian University Social Work students who were visiting the US from South Korea. The students visited our Queens Community Center to learn about CPC’s mission and vision as well as the services that we provide to the community.

CPC Assists Tenants of 85 Bowery
On January 19, 2018, CPC's Multi-Social Services staff provided great assistance to the residents of 85 Bowery during their time of need. Staff provided language assistance and temporary housing support along side HPD and Red Cross as well as assessed and provided additional support services to the residents.

On January 17, 2018, CPC President & CEO, Wayne Ho, spoke on the "Voter Inspiration" panel with Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement Executive Director, Christopher Hanway, during the United Neighborhood Houses (UNH) Executive Directors Retreat. The discussion focused on voter engagement on a community level and how both leaders integrated voter registration and "Get Out To Vote" initiatives into their organization's structures.
