So it’s officially 67 more sleeps until our tour of Sicily departs from Catania on 22 May for a five-night journey through the Ragusa region of Sicily, my Sicilia and I am so excited!!

The gorgeous small town of Modica, known as Sicily's Baroque Valley in Ragusa where we will visit Antica Dolceria Bonajuto, the oldest chocolate factory in Sicily, founded in 1880 and one of the three best Italian chocolatiers.

The cobblestone town of Ragusa Ibla where we'll spend an evening of fine dining at Michelin Star restaurant ll Duomo. Chef Ciccio Sultano will prepare an unforgettable inventive menu where we will taste the distinctive flavours of this beautiful land.

Hands on cooking demonstrations with my zia Maria including a traditional family Sunday feast where food, wine and laughter will be in abundance.  Before lunch Zia Maria will demonstrate how she makes pasta, pizza and unbelievable Sicilian bread in her wood fire oven and my cousins will make Sicilian sweets including my favourite custard filled macale, Italian donuts, oooh yeh!!
