LETTER FROM THE CEO

Welcome to the January edition of Docklines. 

I hope that like me, you were able to spend some quality time with family and friends over the Christmas and New Year period and that it included plenty of time out on the water. 

January has certainly brought some hot weather, and there's definitely an advantage to being on the water, in your boat and catching the breeze in order to cool off in this heat. 

Speaking of cooling off, Lisa Blair has set sail on her record breaking attempt to become the first female to circumnavigate Antarctica solo and unassisted departing Albany, Western Australia on 22 January 2017. We have supported Lisa in her quest and wish her a safe and successful voyage. 

Finally, if Australia Day has snuck up on you, and youre still not sure how to spend our National Day, then we've put together the best of what's on around Sydney, Nelson Bay and Melbourne.

I'll be on Sydney Harbour - but whatever you choose to do on 26 January, Happy Australia Day.
