And if Trump considers that diagnosis “fake news”, he should take heart: Jon Roozenbeek and Sander van der Linden have created a game to teach people how to avoid false stories.

So does the series offer us a glimpse of the future? In Gavin Miller’s view, far from it. Science fiction, he argues, is never about the future; it has a much more pressing job to do in the present.
