changing laws, country-specific regulations and a wide range of system portfolios are constantly setting new demands on PV monitoring. We are reacting flexibly such as the new EEG 2017 (German Renewable Energy Law) that took effect in Germany at the beginning of the year. We are providing a turn-key system solution for operators of plants with a capacity of up to 750 kilowatts. You will find more information on this topic in the following newsletter.

New password guidelines
The security of your data is our very highest priority. This is why we updated our password guidelines in our last release. We listened to your requests and ideas and further simplified the form. Thank you for the feedback!
In the next release scheduled for March 21, you as a user will be asked to change your password if it does not comply with the latest guidelines: The passwords for our portals must have a minimum length of 10 characters.
Thank you for your cooperation and your contribution to more security!
Since 2015, the amount of funding support for the first PV free-field systems has been determined through a pilot bidding process. As a result of the new EEG 2017 (German Renewable Energy Law) that took effect at the beginning of the year, a fundamental switch of the funding to a bidding process has taken place.
Small to medium-sized PV systems with installed power of up to 750 kilowatts continue to be exempt from this regulation. Under the new law, operators of free-field systems in this segment are eligible for a feed-in tariff that is up to 2.5 cents higher than the tariff in the last bidding round (current rate: 8.51 cent per kilowatt hour).
Our turn-key comprehensive, worry-free system solution covers monitoring, grid feed-in management and direct marketing of PV systems in Germany with a capacity of up to 750 kilowatts. All of this is provided at a fixed price of €6,490.
The numerous queries we have received for our system solution in this category in particular highlights the industry’s strong interest. meteocontrol's market-leading position in this segment is demonstrated by its total rank in a market study titled “Global PV Monitoring” that was conducted by GTM Research and SoliChamba Consulting: meteocontrol placed first in the overall international rankings as an independent provider of monitoring systems.
As befits the turn-key system solution, we are now offering two cost-optimized complete control-cabinet solutions for use in data recording and the implementation of the grid feed-in management of your commercial PV system.
The control cabinets are available in two versions:
-
Data Station X Series Commercial (item no. 592.724) The metrological control cabinet for use in the central recording and processing of all system data produced by your commercial photovoltaic system.
- Central data recording and communications with the VCOM monitoring portal
