Don’t forget, we will not have school Friday, May 18. Since we will not be in school on Friday, our Spelling test and saying our Bible Verse will be on Thursday.
We can’t believe we are almost done with this year. We have loved this group of students!

Next Week

Bible: We have a review unit in our Bible workbook on all the Bible characters we have studied throughout the year. Instead of a Bible Verse this week, we are memorizing the New Testament Books of the Bible in order. We are using a song and practicing at school. Your child will need to say these books in order on Thursday.
Reading: Our story will be “Now & Ben.” Our skill will be Compare and Contrast.
Spelling: Words with long vowels sounds using oa, ow, ee, ea: seated keeps speed seen means clean groan roast bowls crow owe grown green snow peace below
Grammar: Choosing between adjectives and adverbs.
Math: Unit on addition/subtraction to thousand and other skill review

Important Dates

May 16: Gently Used Book Sale at Lunch with Student Council - $1.00 each
May 18 : No School
May 21: Movie/popcorn/sprite-$1.00 – we will show a movie to the students on this day for all students – if your child would like popcorn and sprite while they watch the movie, please send $1.00 – this money will go to Arkansas Children’s Hospital
May 22: Tacky Tourist Day - $1.00 – if your child would like to dress up for fun as a Tacky Tourist, please send $1.00 – this money will go to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital
May 24: Awards Assembly @ 9:00 in the Worship Center dismissal immediately follows awards. Happy Summer! Remember, there is NO EXTENDED CARE/NO BUS so please pick up your child in the Worship Center. We will not have car line on this day.
