There are certainly those days of cabin fever – needing to get out whatever the weather, and the sibling squabbles when they’ve just had enough of each other. But what is good, exciting and pretty amazing is the chance to spend some quality time with our children. Even if you are working, it’s likely you’ll have some time off, either on holiday or just to look after your children. And that time provides a great opportunity to be more intentional about how we can nurture faith at home. Could you spend some time in the Bible on your lazy mornings, chatting through verses with your children? When you’re out and about in creation what questions could you ask to show how God is at work in the world? Could you serve somebody who is ill in church by baking them cakes, or visit someone who is lonely? And remember that in all the activities you do, whether it’s a trip to the park or watching a movie – God is there with you and wants to join in the fun with you! ![]() "We will tell the next generation Psalm 78:4 Take a moment to think of one thing you can do this summer that will be fun for your family, but also give your children a glimpse of the life and joy found in following God.
