Dear Business Partner,

As a service provider for PV systems and PV power plants of all sizes, we have added the X-6000 model to the new blue’Log X series of data loggers and will be presenting our holistic monitoring systems, comprising the blue’Log X series, web portals and SCADA center, at Intersolar in Munich.

The focus will also be on our quality assurance services, which are becoming increasingly important especially for existing systems. For example, in a system check for a PV project in Northern Germany we were able to determine the reason for a yield loss of around 5%. Lower energy yields are often accepted on the assumption that the forecast yields were calculated too high.

Our newsletter topics at a glance:

  • INTERSOLAR Europe 2015: Our trade show highlights
  • PORTAL: Several measurement systems per plant
  • VCOM: Discontinuation of weather overlay
  • WEB’log LIGHT+ 20, BASIC 100 and PRO unlimited: Software modifications
  • Direct marketing of solar energy

INTERSOLAR Europe 2015

[Graphic: Blue line]

Visit us at this year's Intersolar in Munich: At our booth we will be presenting the enhanced development of our monitoring and feed-in management systems and inform you about the quality assurance measures for new and existing systems. Here, in advance, is an overview of our trade show highlights:

blue’Log X series

  • New on the market: blue'Log X-6000 for the utility-scale segment
  • New firmware with extended functions (power control, intelligent power limiting, zero feed-in, etc.) for all X models
  • Ready for international requirements, e.g. language support in Chinese

blue’Log M series

  • Monitoring of small systems with modern and simple visualization of key measured values
  • Intelligent control of solar systems, battery storage and household appliances taking account of consumption and solar energy forecasts

Monitoring

  • Continuous further development in line with customer and market requirements
  • Improvements in usability and performance
  • Effective working and quick troubleshooting thanks to remote access in connection with blue’Log X series and display of real-time values

SCADA center

  • On-site operation management and control of PV power plants, also at remote locations
  • Detailed real-time visualization of measured values
  • Reliable monitoring and control in the system with the blue'Log X series of data loggers

Grid feed-in management

  • 0% grid feed-in: The "Intelligent Power Limit (IPL)" function meets the country-specific requirement of not feeding any power into the public electricity grid at any time.

Quality assurance: Long-term high yield for existing systems

  • Comparison of the yield report with the system power actually achieved
  • Proof of the correctness of forecasts and random spot check of the system
  • Cause of errors determined and insidious errors rectified

We look forward to your visit: Hall B2, Booth 419

PORTAL: Several measurement systems per plant

[Graphic: Blue line]

With the new release we can simplify the monitoring of systems equipped with several metering elements. From now on during setup of the system you can combine various measurement systems of one PV plant and are therefore provided with all measured data at a glance. With this innovation the system setup process changes as well. While up until now you entered the measurement details right after the location details of a plant at the beginning of the setup process, we now have a separate configuration option for adding the data logger. You are forwarded to the new page during the course of the system setup process right from the system setup page.

After successful setup the measurement system is arranged in the menu tree on the left hand side and the respective data logger configurations can be easily selected. The overview page can be selected here as well and new measurement systems added if desired.

You are an existing customer and want to benefit from this new function? Take advantage of our offer for combining existing systems. Our sales team will be happy to answer your questions: sales@meteocontrol.com

Direct marketing of solar energy

[Graphic: Blue line]

  • Extended compatibility
The meteocontrol direct marketer interface is now compatible with the direct marketer Mark-E.

  • Important note on data volume
When using wireless routers (GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA), the data volume of 300 MB/month is not always sufficient. The additional data transfer arising from direct marketing requires higher data volumes. When using meteocontrol routers and the GPRS cards, we therefore recommend the GPRS data card with a minimum data volume of 1,000 MB/month.

GPRS data card, D1 contract - (Germany) volume of 1,000 MB/month: Item number 426.078

The data volume available on an existing meteocontrol data card can be increased at any time.
