Fresh Air by Penhouse Design No Images? Click here A taster from 2017As we come to a close for 2017, we're looking back on some of our projects over the year. It has been a busy 12 months of really interesting work and great collaborations with some old friends and newly acquainted clients too. We've included a cross-section of different projects we have designed which we hope will give a flavour of our year and you’ll enjoy viewing. Thanks to all our super clients, suppliers, friends and of course our great team here who make the magic happen :) Wishing you our very best wishes and we’ll see you in 2018 for more creative stories... Lily O'Brien's - The Exquisite Edition We’ve been working on some new product ranges with Lily O’Brien’s again this year – some still top secret – but one we can share is our Exquisite Edition box which launched earlier in the year and houses one serious set of new flavour chocolates! If you feel like indulging, then this is the collection for you! Check out the Lily O’Brien’s shop in Kildare Village or visit them online for pure deliciousness! Ballykilcavan Brewery This year saw the launch of even more great beers from Ballykilcavan Brewery. Their business is based on a working farm, in the family since 1639. When David first contacted us in 2016, he asked us to brand his beer with the Walsh family crest – the Griffin – and of course we had to add some attitude too! Now his Griffins grace the best bars and off-licences around and in a very short time Ballykilcavan has 3 great beers to choose from, all delicious. Follow his social media activity and great story on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. Bord Bia – SuperBrands As one of only 3 Irish design companies recommended by Bord Bia for their SuperBrands initiative, we work with many emerging food and horticulture companies as they rebrand to reach new markets. One of these was ‘Man from the Mountain’ black and white puddings whose significant re-brand included logo, copywriting, packaging design, photography, etc. A great Irish success story, the rebrand (from Sásta) has seen them grow rapidly and appeal to a whole range of new markets in just 6 short months. The Heritage Council We’ve worked with The Heritage Council for many years and this year saw us design a number of new identities for them – the Heritage in Schools initiative and Adopt a Monument being two of them shown below. They each have their own logo, sitting within the same brand family. LGBTI+ National Youth Strategy What a brilliant bunch of young people we work-shopped with, through the Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA), to create this branding project and design their strategy. Check out their progress on various social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter to follow #LGBTIReport or read the report here DCYA – How was School Today? More than 3,200 young Irish voices had their say in the Comhairle na nÓg research, which focused on the topic of Education. We were delighted to design all the material for this. The full report which was launched by both Minister Katherine Zappone TD and Minister Richard Bruton TD in November 2017. Read it here. Druids Glen We continue to work with the lovely people at Druids Glen, Hotel and Golf Resort, in Wicklow. This year, as always, they are adding even more to their 5 star offering and one of the new additions we designed was their walking trail, through the woods, around the resort and golf club. They are currently offering the ‘gift of luxury’ giftcards online, so go gifting for the ultimate treat and take a stroll when you get there, you won’t be disappointed. Public Health Alcohol Bill We were commissioned by Alcohol Action Ireland to create a series of infographics for Alcohol Health Alliance in support of their campaign #phabsaveslives. We visualised some startling statistics, to illustrate the ‘act now’ need for legislation and these have been used over the last number of months in various forms online and in static form. The bill has just been passed by the Senate and it’s the first time in history that a piece of legislation in relation to alcohol has ever been passed, so a very successful outcome so far for all involved. Mental Health Reform – Sign the Petition We recently assisted the Mental Health Reform in visualising real concerns to promote the need for 24/7 mental health care services. We created a series of infographics, in keeping with their brand palette to illustrate the key messaging. The campaign is on-going and can be followed online searching #InOurHourOfNeed. To ensure better crisis mental health services you too can sign and share the petition Petalwell Hair and Body Oils This year the Petalwell crew in Carlow saw many exciting changes, from winning an international award for packaging innovation, to branching into new products with their beautiful Hair and Body oils. We’re delighted to partner with them for their design. Look out for their stand, currently in the House of Fraser, Dundrum, or follow them online where they are currently promoting special gift prices for the season. Carlow is Cooking… What a truly delicious way to promote a county’s food tourism offering and Carlow really has some gems. With recipes from the many restaurants, hotels and food providers from around the county, we licked our lips many times while designing this one… and now we can cook like them too (well maybe...) This is a special book, delighted we got to work on it with our friends at Carlow Tourism. And so ends 2017, what a fast year it has been! Thanks to all who made it a special one. We plan on taking our Penhouse Christmas break on Thursday 21st December, returning again on Thursday January 4th 2018. So until then, we'd like to send you our very best wishes for the season and new year, from all of us at Penhouse. |
