Miss You, Boise

During this unprecedented time, the Boise Convention & Visitors Bureau went looking for a way to remind people about Boise’s attractions while respecting the public health directives. So the BCVB asked its partners in town to create short videos for sharing on social media, to help spread one simple idea: “Miss you Boise.”

The concept: offer up a demonstration of one of the elements that makes your business special, to share a few tricks of the trade, and remind visitors and residents that you’ll see them again soon. By watching the clips, people can remember their favorite venues, get inspired to try something new, and above all keep the connection to Boise alive and well. No surprise here: the BCVB’s partners around town various attractions jumped in with lessons and ideas. Video topics are, like Boise, full of creativity, including tutorials about making a proper margarita (thanks to Press and Pony) to making that incredible pork belly served at Tasso in BoDo.

Come see for yourself and help us share the message: We miss you, Boise, and all the friends, neighbors and visitors that make our city the welcoming, vibrant place that it is. Check it out: www.boise.org/missyouboise

Boise Wakes Up

As state and local leaders begin to ease restrictions about business openings, Boise has entered the initial stages of opening itself back up. Just this month, Idaho began Stage 1 of Governor Brad Little’s four-part coronavirus pandemic recovery program, Idaho Rebounds. While bars and nightclubs remain closed, some stores can reopen, and several have throughout the Boise area. Citizens are still supposed to practice the social distancing and mask-wearing that has helped so far. After two weeks, in mid-May, the state will re-evaluate and if all goes well, we can expect to see more of Boise’s attractions and restaurants begin to reopen.
