Putting yourself out there

It’s never easy and it’s on our minds a lot right now! We’re getting ready to launch a Kickstarter campaign to fund improvements to our video chat service Talky.

We’re also gearing up to announce ticket sales for the 2015 RealtimeConf.

These are things we believe in and we’ve poured our hearts into. We’re excited, of course, but also, a bit nervous. We’re taking risks. Offering up our hard work for others to embrace or reject.

Sometimes the act of putting something out into the world feels harder to do than all of the hard work that went into the project in the first place!

One of the best ways to squash fears is to first accept that the worst may happen and then think about the many ways we could bounce back and move on if it did.  So what if things fall apart? What if the rejection comes down hard? Find ways to grow, improve, bounce back, or try a new direction.

No failure is final. It just puts us in a new place to work from. We humans are more resilient than we often think!
