2nd Grade eNews
We learned a lot about Benjamin Franklin! Ask your child what are some of his inventions we still use today. Moms, I hope you have a beautiful and relaxing Mother’s Day!
Next Week
-
Bible - We have a review unit in our Bible workbook on all the Bible characters we have studied throughout the year. Our memory verse this week will be:
-
Philippians 1:6 “I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
-
Reading - We will not have a story this week. Instead we will research inventors/inventions and focus on comparing and contrasting them.
-
Spelling - We will review the patterns we’ve learned: root, crew, spoon, few, bloom, took, books, foot, hoof, cook, aim, snail, bay, braid, ray, seated, groan, grown, seen, peace
-
Grammar - We will review verbs, nouns, adjectives, and adverbs through the use of Shurley English (third grade stuff). There will not be a test over this.
-
Math - We will finish our chapter over 4 digit numbers and test on Thursday (thousands, place value, rounding, comparing/ordering numbers, add and subtract with and without renaming).
