DC In-Person Training: Disease Outbreak: Measles and Vaccines

A former childhood scourge, thought to have been conquered in the U.S., has sickened more than 100 people since a new outbreak in California. This free one-day program in Washington, D.C., will explore the disease and its potential harms, the status and prognosis for this outbreak, as well as the factors influencing future outbreaks of measles, whooping cough and others.

Free Wharton Seminar in Washington, DC, March 4, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
The Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists is pleased to present a special free one-day seminar on March 4, 2015 in Washington, DC.  Faculty scheduled to present include Wharton Professor of Healthcare Management and Professor of Insurance and Risk Management, Scott Harrington and Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy, Kent Smetters on “The Affordable Care Act” and “The Economic Outlook, Long-term Risks, and a Framework for Policy Reform” respectively.  The sessions are complimentary but space is limited.  Breakfast, lunch and course materials are provided at no cost.  A limited number of Southwest Airlines travel scholarships are also available for full time West Coast reporters.  Registration is required and available online here.
