Kindergarten eNews

We had great reports this week on ocean animals.  Next week will be similar with an animal or insect that lives in the rainforest.  Look for these in your child’s folder.

• Unit Study:  The rainforest
• Show and Tell:  The students will do a report on the rainforest.  We will send home a sheet to fill out.
• Bible:  We will study salvation stories.
• Bible Verse:  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Ps. 23:6
• Reading:  We will continue working in our reading groups, learning special sounds, and reading higher level books.  The word family this week will be “ake”.  Spelling test on these words will be on Friday.
• Math:  We will identify and work with 2D and 3D shapes.

• May 10-11:  The Lion King
• May 16:  Mother’s Day Tea
• May 17:  Graduation
• May 18:  No school
• May 21:  Teacher Appreciation
• May 23:  Kindergarten picnic and last day of school for kindergarten
• May 24:  Awards Assembly for 1st-5th grade( no school for kindergarten)
