Hello and Happy New Year for 2011!

We're already over a week deep in the New Year and by gazing out the window there are still a significant amount of holidaymakers at play in the fairest Cape. According to Visa Europe the second week in January is the busiest period for holiday flight bookings, if you're not already day dreaming about getting back on the road, this newsletter should inject some inspiration for anyone toying with the idea of a South African holiday.

Christmas and New Year inconsiderately fell on weekends in 2010, meaning most of us didn't get to maximise our annual leave over the festive period. Luckily, this year serves up an ideal grouping of public holidays around Easter - take off Tuesday the 26th of April, Thursday the 28th and Friday the 29th and you bag 11 days of holiday - Book those days now. April is a beautiful month in South Africa, cooler than the blazing peak summer months, but still balmy enough for road trips, camping and adventure.

This month we're featuring some lesser know self-drive routes, re-visiting the Cape Winelands and Route 62, exploring the Panorama Route and the Kruger Park and highlighting South Africa's most famous and popular drive, The Garden Route.
