Click here INTERNATIONALISATIONA Driver of Quality in Irish HEOn Monday, December 11th 2017, the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) will jointly host a conference at the Printworks, Dublin Castle entitled: 'Internationalisation – a driver of quality in Irish HE' This conference, ‘Internationalisation – a driver of quality in Irish HE’, provides a timely opportunity to explore Irish higher education institutions' preparedness to realise the Government vision of ‘internationally oriented, globally competitive higher education institutions as presented in the International Education Strategy for Ireland 2016–2020. The conference will feature keynote addresses from international and national speakers and will also showcase a number of national initiatives which are currently in train in this area. The aim of the conference is to raise awareness of good practice and encourage institutions to adopt a holistic approach to internationalisation. The audience/participants will consist of academics, students, government departments and agencies and interested stakeholders. As part of this conference there is a call for poster proposals. This is a valuable opportunity for you to showcase examples of strategies, policy, institutional practice or projects linked to the theme of internationalisation.
We encourage poster proposals relating to strategy and policy as well as practice, and those addressing student engagement and inter-institutional collaboration, as well as those with a focus on evaluating the impact of policy and practice. SUBMITTING A POSTER PROPOSALAll proposals and any related queries can be submitted to Deirdre at dscanlon@qqi.ieThere is no limit to the number of poster proposals you may submit but each must be made separately. The call for poster proposals remains open until Friday, 20 October 2017. Proposals will be reviewed and the outcome of this process will be communicated by email to the lead author by Friday, 3 November 2017. GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING A POSTER PROPOSALPosters should be a visual representation of a topic, and can potentially include tables, charts, graphs, text and images. Those selected will be on display during the conference and there will be dedicated time within the conference programme to allow delegates to view and reflect on posters. A presenter will need to be available at this time to engage with delegates on their poster. Posters should be no smaller than A1 in size and may be up to A0 but must be in portrait orientation. It is the responsibility of the lead author to ensure the poster is brought to the conference and displayed (a pin board will be provided) from the start of the day and removed at the end of the day.
