Kindergarten eNews

Brrrr!  It is getting colder outside.  Be sure to send a coat with your child every day, and make sure to label with name.  We will continue to learn more about Thanksgiving as we introduce Native Americans and learn more about specific tribes within the United States (Southwest, Plains, and Northwestern tribes)

Next Week

  • Unit Study - Native Americans
  • Show and Tell - Create a Native American/Indian Name for yourself (Write down and bring to class to share - example: Running Bear or Shiny Unicorn)
  • Verse - Psalm 100:4, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise!  Be thankful unto Him and bless His name.”
  • Bible - We will continue stories about the Life of Moses and Joshua
  • Reading - Introducing the name and sound of digraphs sh as in shoe and th as in that; continuing weekly readers; and continuing introducing and reviewing sight words
  • Sight Words - can, go, in, his, camp, put, her, he, she, to, help, not, too, nap
  • Math - We will learn to count from 1-79; adding on 1 and 0; 70 family of numbers; and One addition family facts (0+1, 1+1, 2+1…)

Christmas Ornament Fundraiser

The 1st Annual Elementary Christmas Ornament Fundraiser is going on now!  Because of the generosity of a Shiloh Family, 100% of the profit from the proceeds will go toward 27 new laptops for the Elementary Computer Lab. 

Five beautiful clear acrylic designs are available and are $15 each.  Order forms are available in the Elementary office, and are due by November 15.  Orders will be delivered to the school on December 6.

Important Dates

  • November 12 - Blue/Gold Game & Pancake Supper (5pm in SEC Gym).  $5 tickets available to purchase from any basketball player or band member.
  • November 25-29 - No School, Thanksgiving Break
