Primary elections for Congress and State Senate take place today August 23rd. This is a critical election year for state and federal level elections. After a long redistricting process with mixed results, long-time incumbents and first-time candidates will run for office along new district lines.

There is an important primary election for the newly drawn Congressional District 10 which includes the neighborhoods of Chinatown, the Lower East Side, and Sunset Park.
