Generally, desktops and laptops that are less than two years old will be upgraded to Windows 10. Staff will be given the opportunity to discuss their concerns with ITS if they believe their computer should remain on Windows 7. This is a large body of work, so ITS will only ask a small group of staff to perform the upgrade at a time. We appreciate your patience over the next 6 to 12 months, while we roll Windows 10 out to compatible staff computers. Insecure password warning in FirefoxStaff who are using the web browser Firefox to log in to online systems, may encounter a grey lock icon with a red strike-through in the address bar, or a warning message next to the Password field. This is a new feature introduced by Firefox to warn people when they’re using a login page that’s not secure, meaning their username and password could be stolen. Staff who enter their Massey user code and password into an insecure login page, may be placing any accounts using their Massey credentials at risk. Staff who are concerned about the security of a website should notify the ITS Service Desk. ITS Service Desk |
