What an unforgettable evening!

On March 5th, 580 guests gathered at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers, for the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC)'s annual Lunar New Year Gala. We are so grateful to everyone who showed up to celebrate our honorees and the work that we do in the community.

We were thrilled to honor Chang M. Liu, President and CEO of Cathay Bank; Pitta & Baione LLP; and Peggy Sheng, former Chief Operating Officer of the Coalition of Asian American IPA (CAIPA), for their outstanding contributions to justice, health, and community advancement. Their dedication inspires us all.

A special thank you to our government partners who joined us: Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Council Speaker Julie Menin, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, Comptroller Mark Levine, Council Members Shekar Krishnan, Linda Lee, and Kevin Riley.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, CPC successfully raised over $1 million to support the expansion of services and advocacy for community members, as well as supporting our human services, home care, and affordable housing workers.

Finally, thank you to our Board, Gala Committee, Masters of Ceremonies (Alan Muraoka and Kathleen Kim), and dedicated staff for making our gala a success. We are honored to work with you all and look forward to continuing our mission together!
