New Year, New Hopes and New Opportunities

This is the time of year when many of us look forward to making changes. We are more resolute, ambitious and even excited to wipe the slate clean, break bad habits and develop ourselves.

Whether you’re wanting to improve yourself within your current role or are looking to develop yourself further we have the training resources and guidance that you need.

Here are just a few of the development opportunities available to you in the New Year...

Springboard

The Springboard Programme is a national, personal and professional development programme designed especially for women.  This programme helps women recognise their own potential and reach their goals.

It helps women to look at ways in which they can prepare themselves for the opportunities in life and fulfil their potential in their careers and their lives in general.

The objectives of the programme are, to enable participants to value what they have and build on their strengths; to develop self-confidence to make things happen; to take more control of their lives (whatever that means to them); to develop assertiveness and to reduce stress and anxiety.

Starts March 2012.

Aspirational Managers Programme

This programme is aimed at improving the skills and capabilities of staff who aspire to take on management roles for the first time.

It lasts for 12 months and features a curriculum of management development and work-based experience including project-type work, chairing meetings and giving presentations.

Unique to this programme, you will have the chance to develop in real, challenging work situations and through a work-based project. Your development and progress is recorded in and monitored throughout the 12 months.

Successful completion gives you a nationally recognised qualification in leadership and management (the ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading).

Starts April 2012.
