Alex Snitker/Adrian Wyllie at our November 14th Meeting

Please mark your calendars for our next meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 14th.  Alex Snitker  from the Liberty Empowerment Institute will be giving a power point presentaton on "The Neighborhood Project".

The Liberty Empowerment Institute was formed to empower the individual with the tools needed to influence the vote in their precinct. This will enable us to restore honest representation to the state of Florida. Our goal is to replace politicians with principled citizen legislators and set up a liberty structure throughout the state based on principle and not a political party.

A precinct is the smallest geographic, political area that is utilized to win elections. Our plan focuses on empowering individuals in their own neighborhoods to influence the vote. We will show you how two individuals took ownership of their precincts and walked door to door and WON…I hope you didn’t miss that…2 people took responsibility, not 200, just 2..

We want to train you on a step by step plan to make this happen in your neighborhood.  We want to empower you to influence the vote along with the other liberty-minded individuals who reside in your precinct. Your meetings with your neighbors, will only be held when they are needed. This gives you the ability to live your life and be able to focus on what’s important. This is how we will be able to influence the direction of our republic and restore it back to its constitutional roots.

This should be a very informative meeting!  Adrian Wyllie will also be there - Adrian is running for the office of Governor in 2014.  He is gaining momentum in the state and has some great ideas to get Florida back to what it should be.

We meet at the Taylor Building, 128 SW Birley Ave. (corner of U.S. 90 and Birley) approx. 3 miles west of the I-75 interchange in Lake City.  Please invite a friend to attend with you - it takes all of us working together to make the needed changes in our local, state and federal governments!

Win a $500 Visa Gift Card in Time for the Holidays!

We are doing one more fundraising event before the end of the year!  We are selling raffle tickets for a $500 Visa Gift Card.  This will come in very handy for the holidays.  If you can help our group raise some money by selling some raffle tickets, please let me know at either 386-935-0821 or shiggins@windstream.net.  If you know of any business that will allow us to put a sign and some tickets in their place, please let us know.

Some of the things we use our money for:

Printing the American Patriot News twice a month and distributing it in Lake City, Live Oak, Ft. White, and Branford.  This newspaper is full of great articles that won't be found in local newspapers.  It is a great way to reach people who may not know about our efforts. It is published in Perry twice a month and distributed in 28 Florida counties as well as several states.  As our circulation grows, so do our expenses associated with this - right now we are putting out at least 1,300 papers in our area.

We are sending $100 a month to Liberty First Network.  These men (Paul Henry and John Hallman) are doing their best to help us keep up with what is going on in Tallahassee.  They are our eyes and ears when we can't be there.  Many times we are focused on what is going on in Washington D.C. and forget what they are doing to us in Tallahassee!

Rent for the Taylor Building - Jackie Taylor lets us use the building at a very reasonable rate each month and we greatly appreciate it!

This year we purchased Constitutions to give to 8th grade Civics students in Columbia and Suwannee Counties.  We would like to do this each year for distribution on Constitution Day.

And...there are always miscellaneous expenses.  Please help us by donating at our meetings and selling some raffle tickets

The drawing will be held at our December 12th meeting so we don't have a lot of time to sell a lot of tickets!!  : )

Stop Calling Them Entitlements!

The sign in the picture says it all!  "Get it straight:  Welfare, Food Stamps, WIC, etc. are not entitlements.  They are TAX PAYER-FUNDED HANDOUTS!  Social Security and Veterans Benefits are Entitlesments because the people receiving them are entitled to them.  They were earned and paid for by the recipients!"  Let's start calling them what they are and correcting people when we hear them say "entitlements".   I stopped at a convenience store last week and watched a seemingly able-bodied young woman spend $35+ on junk food and use her EBT (food stamp) card!  I was furious!  That is a program which needs serious reform!  Rep. Ted Yoho is on the Agriculture Committee -- they tell us that 3/4's of the Agriculture budget goes to the food stamp program.  Please call or write his office and ask him to do what he can to rid this program of all the waste and abuse!

Immigration/Amnesty is Baaaccckkk!

The President thinks he has Health Care behind him and announced yesterday that he will be focusing on Immigration again.   Please contact U.S. Representatives and tell them  "NO IMMIGRATION BILL OUT OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES!"  The Senate already passed a bill and if the House passes any type of bill - it will go to conference and who knows what will come out of that?  (Especially with our RINO Republicans behind it all!)    We all know that something should be done about Immigration; if we don't have people to work in our agricultural operations, many crops will not be harvested, etc.  But there has to be a common sense solution without opening the flood gates to 12+ million new citizens!   Please post this on Facebook; pass it on to your family and friends; light the phones up and fill their email boxes!

Senator Dean/Rep. Porter to Hold Legislative Delegation Hearings in Lake City/Live Oak

Senator Charles Dean and State Rep. Elizabeth Porter will be holding Legislative Delegation Hearings in both Live Oak and Lake City next week.  This is a chance for local officials (city and county) to come before them and ask for the things they think they need when the legislature goes into session.  But....it is also a time for us to go before them and speak out on the things that we think they should be focusing on, i.e. Common Core.  I will put the schedule for both meetings below; please try to attend and speak out.  The last one that I went to - I was the only "public" there.  The newspaper decided to interview me because of that.  It is a good way to get some information out and ask them questions.  It is a great way to try to get them "on the record"   If we could have a good turnout of "tea Party" types there, it will let them know that we are a force to be reckoned with!  PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND!
