The Launch of the CPC COVID-19 Relief Fund

July 14, 2020 -- CPC announces today the launch of the CPC COVID-19 Relief Fund aimed at supporting essential services to meet the needs of low-income and immigrant communities in New York City both during this pandemic and in our efforts towards recovery.

Donations to the CPC COVID-19 Relief Fund will help ensure CPC can continue to provide critical response work during these unprecedented times. Since March 22, CPC has offered COVID-19 response and assistance to over 15,000 community members across the city.

Some ways we have helped:
(Learn more about how CPC has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic)

  • 108,500 lbs of food (50,700 meals) distributed to families and seniors in need
  • 118,800 wellness calls or remote sessions held
  • 4,500 homecare workers were mobilized throughout the crisis
  • A Regional Enrichment Center (REC) was opened in the Lower East Side of Manhattan for children of essential workers who are 2 – 12 years old
  • Provided PPE to 5,000 home care workers
  • 207 human services CBOs and 1,500 human services workers joined the Essential Workers Campaign (#Iamessential)

The outbreak is taking a disproportionate toll on the vulnerable communities we work with. Seniors need support to stay engaged and healthy, families with special needs and young children need resources to educate their children remotely, and job coaching is needed to help community members reach their career goals.

CPC is on the front lines as a human services provider and is anticipating long-term issues that impact our communities, staff, and the way we operate as a nonprofit. Join us in our efforts by making a donation today.
