We are sorry to announce that Malcolm Messiter has been obliged to withdraw from this concert. The oboe concertos will be replaced with Respighi's Il Tramonto, a beautiful setting of Shelley's poem The Sunset for voice and strings. I am delighted that Margareta Haverinen, with whom I performed this work last summer in Tallinn, has agreed to come and perform with us at this short notice.
Its a gorgeous programme I am am looking forward to it very much.
