days of summer
Salvatore Zofrea is one of Australia's most accomplished woodcut artists. His latest body of work, Days of Summer, is a touring exhibition presented by Maitland Regional Art Gallery and is the culmination of almost twenty years of making prints. This series of woodcut prints, featuring native flowers and birdlife, presents to the viewer the life, colour and movement found in the bushland close to his studio in Kurrajong in the lower Blue Mountains of New South Wales.

The Twin Scapes Pinhole Photography:
Hideharu Matsuhisa
9 March–10 April 2011
The Twin Scapes is a photographic response to the overwhelming wave of digital technology sweeping the globe. Through a fascination of pinhole photography as the most basic means of producing an image directly onto paper, without lens or film, Japan and Australia are expressed through the eyes of a Japanese photographer using natural light at its highest and lowest levels, resulting in an intense play on shadows and shade to depict differences in history, culture and sensitivities.
