Advising Corner - Questions Needed

question mark with words ask me

The CCPS Undergraduate Advising Center is looking create a list of the most frequently asked questions to be used in our soon to be created "Advising Corner".  The Advising Corner will consist of a question and answer format in which an advisor will answer common advising questions which are posed from faculty, staff, and students. The Q&A can become a slide to be included in the unit's weekly announcement PowerPoint presentations, placed in newsletters, or as content for social media accounts and websites.

We are asking  faculty and staff to give some thought to the advising questions that they would like to see answered. Perhaps there are questions which are asked repeatedly of you by students or advising questions that you yourself have been pondering.

We ask that the questions be submitted by e-mail to ccpsadvisor@gvsu.edu to be included.

Did you know that the "advisee listing" in myBanner is the list of ALL of the students assigned to you. This could include students who are not enrolled this semester, have graduated, or have been academically dismissed. A better method to reach out to your advisees who are enrolled this semester can be found in the "Additional Student Information" page. The CCPS Undergraduate Advising Center has created an easy to follow tool for you to use to connect with your advisees.
