Hope in Ukraine: Hope Force Responds at the Border

April 15, 2022

Ukraine Crisis:  Situation Report #2

Good Friday is a day to remember the price paid by Jesus — leading to the joy of Resurrection Sunday. This reason for hope is what motivates Hope Force International to do what we do.  Our team serving in Romania has been able to cross the border into Ukraine, and what they have encountered is nothing short of desperation.  Marianne Lako, Hope Force International’s Haiti Co-Director, is currently leading our deployment in Romania and Ukraine and shares an encounter she had in this video with a young mother named Anastasia…which means Resurrection.  (Hope Force has been sending hundreds of food packets, and regular deliveries will continue.)

Additionally, Hope Force team members have been hard at work on construction projects (besides the food box preparations) for our local partner, Fight for Freedom.  We have teams coming and going to continue our response of practical compassion.  Please keep them in your prayers, and of course, the people of Ukraine.

Have a blessed Easter as we commemorate the death, resurrection and abundant life found in Christ alone!
