Bonus Bucks Battle

I’m sure you’ve heard about Bucks for Books, but have you heard about the Bonus Bucks Battle? The school with the most entries in our Bucks for Books drawing wins their own additional $500 prize. So, what does that mean for you? If your school places first, you get two entries into Bucks for Books and an even better chance at $500 cash. Currently, in first place is Wayne State University, in second place is Oakland Community College, and in third place is Oakland University. If your school isn’t in first make sure you spread the word. Tell your classmates and peers that Bucks for Books is on, but not for long; Bucks for Books closes on September 15th at 3:00 p.m. If you haven’t already, apply now!

Video: Living on Your Own

In this It's a Money Thing video, Jen learns that there’s a lot more to moving out than just paying rent. Living on your own creates new expenses that you may not have considered, such as rental insurance, commuting expenses and furnishing your new place.

With school getting underway, September is always an expensive month! Save some money at your local market and make sure you enter our Bucks for Books contest for your chance to win up to $500.
