A New 29er
In fairly short order here, Andrew Fang will be the proud new rider of a brand-new custom steel 29er. I don't know all the details of the build kit, but I do know that it'll be built up with a Chris King headset, Rohloff hub, and a Rock Shox Ruby RLT fork. This one was a struggle to build, and was trying at times, but in the end it turned out great. There'll be more photos and a more-detailed description coming online in the near future. For now, here's a picture of it at the powdercoater's place:

Whither July?
So given that this newsletter generally has pretty good open rates, you might have noticed that we missed the July send, and have nearly missed August. Yeah, July was crazy (moving in to a new house, discovering we're pregnant, etc.), and August hasn't been much better. I did manage a few blog posts, including one asking, what's your dream bike?
, a bit about how cycling is the new golf, plus stuff about fat bikes and racing wheelchairs.

The Minnecycle Scramble
It's my first trade show, it's coming up at the end of September, and since I just moved, you can imagine that I'm in more than a bit of a scramble right now. I do like to pretend that every builder goes through this in prep for a show, and I do have some data from other builders (*cough*A-train
*cough*) that backs up my beliefs. So yeah, Minnecycle. You can come see my wares. I should have Erin's CX bike, a niner, a lugged road bike, and a few more things on display. Hope to see all of you from the Minnesota area there on September 23rd and 24th.

The New Workshop
It's enough where I can operate and get stuff done, but the effciency has taken a bit of a hit. That's life, though. The near-term plans call for insulating, drywalling, and heating the parts the place. Once that's done, I'll be building new workbenches. In the spring, I'll acid-treat and epoxy the floor. It's a huge step up from my garage at the old place, and it's not quite the haul that Princeton was.
