UHI launches new Management School

On 1 August 2010 UHI launched the Management School which has been created to ensure that organisations in the Highlands and Islands and beyond have access to high-quality management training and education.

The concept of a management school has been around for some time, we already have some courses and will be developing more over a five-year period.

Euan Black was promoted from his previous role of UHI's Continuing Professional Development Manager to their new Head of Management School.

Leading political strategist to visit the Highlands

The new Management School is supporting the Highland Business Dinner 2011, where the guest speaker will be journalist, broadcaster and political fixer for Tony Blair, Alastair Campbell.

Given the challenges facing public and private sector organisations, Alastair's insights into leadership, communication and strategy should be particularly valuable.  The event, which takes place in Inverness on 6th May, should make for an interesting evening, giving us an opportunity to learn, raise the profile of the School and, of course, meet and network with other businesses across the Highlands.
