Turbocharge Your Resident Emails – With New Tools from BuildingLink

Now you can send WHAT you want, to WHOM you want,  WHEN you want, using the LOOK you want!

How and when you communicate with your residents helps set the culture of your building or community. Using BuildingLink to send emails—with the look your brand is proud of, with the clarity your residents need, and with the targeted and timely relevance that digital natives have come to expect—defines your property, your company, and your staff as people who just "get it."

Below is more info on our new enhancements, including (1) Filtered Groups, (2) Email Content Templates, (3) Personalization(4)Save as a Draft” (coming June 1st), and (5) Mailbox redesign — to help save you time, and deliver the highest quality content to your residents. (1) Filtered Resident Groups

You can now pick the exact recipient list you want by applying simple rules to the BuildingLink data you already have, or the data you can track through custom fields! Relevant specific targeting means your email messages will reach all the right people and no one else, like:

  • pet owners
  • healthclub members
  • families with younger children
  • recent move-ins
  • residents whose leases are expiring
  • people with special mobility needs
  • or even "Happy Birthday" celebrants

Filtered groups and their rules can be saved and reused in the  future; the recipient list automatically updates based on your rules and the current occupants. Define once—use forever!

(2) Email Content TemplatesRepository

With our new Email Content Template functionality, you can now build from scratch your own "oh so perfect" message templates and use them as often as needed  with a single click. Or, save everyone in your organization time by making them available to your entire building staff or management company. Save even more time by choosing from a variety of our professionally-crafted, customizable content templates for commonly-sent emails like event announcements, emergency repairs, weather updates, policy updates, and payment notices.  

Your templates can be saved as bare-bones, reusable text-only, or as ready-to-go communications—complete with recipients, attachments, and designs—to use on a moment's notice, or as often as needed.

Delivering high-quality, targeted communication has never been easier!

(3) Personalized Design for Your Brand

Send emails that look and feel like they come from your building, property, or company. Insert a banner photo of your property, or tweak a variety of professional letterhead options, to keep your communications on-brand. For festive occasions, upload fun, custom images to add a "special sauce" to your messaging. Save your design as your email default for a set-it-and-forget-it approach, or reuse them manually each year as those special occasions roll around.

(4) Save as a Draft—then continue! (coming June 1st)

Who isn't multi-tasking these days? You don’t always get to compose an email in one shot without being interrupted.

Next time something pressing draws you away before you can hit "send," simply save it as a draft, and come back to it later. 

(5) “Classic Inbox/Mailbox” RedesignBrilliant!

The new "send email” screen now features a super-intuitive, Outlook-like design, organizing all the information and powerful functionality you need on a set of logical panels. Now you can work your way through your daily communications tasks, leveraging an interface and visual style that is familiar, makes sense, looks great, and is easy to use. ImageR Package Smart-Scanner is a Standout Hit!
Read these Initial Launch Statistics, then go get one (or two) for your property ASAP!

ImageR is our new OCR- (Optical Character Recognition) and AI- powered package scanner! Included in the GEO by BuildingLink app for building managers (Android only), ImageR makes checking in resident deliveries quick and easy. How quick? On average, 5.8 seconds 

Launch Statistics: ImageR was launched in late December 2017 and is in regular use today by over 200 properties, each scanning in (and out) between 25-80 boxes, deliveries, dry cleaning, etc per day. And here is an astounding statistic: With over 600,000 inbound deliveries already recorded via ImageR, our software is regularly achieving...

a 94.5% initial scan-match accuracy rate, with a mean scan speed of 6 seconds!

Update on Aware-FC:  Aware-FC for fitness centers, our very first sensor solution, is successfully out of beta and into production, with 25 initial clients. (Check out this video!) This program gives residents and property managers real-time and historical insights into their gym machine usage and conditions. We have our original beta testers to thank for helping make that project a success. Now we’re looking for beta buildings to help is develop our next 3-4 solution types.
