Harry Hammersmith and the Flyovers Invitation to Event Organisers

Harry Hammersmith and the Flyovers invite event organisers to the first showcase of their brand new set at The Station in Bitterne on Thursday 9th May. Whether you are looking for a band for your Christmas party, wedding or awards dinner, this fantastic 11 piece band will have your guests thoroughly entertained and off their seats dancing!

In the summer of 2012 the rest of the nation was out celebrating a year of sporting and regal achievement. But locked away, in the underbelly of a disused mineshaft (ok, not a mineshaft, a detached bungalow in Hampshire) 11 musical superforces came together to breathe new life into a project so great it would make even Queen Elizabeth herself shake in her diamond-encrusted slippers*. That project was Harry Hammersmith and the Flyovers.

Having originally formed in 1983 the live covers band has been shaking the tail feathers of party-goers across the UK for over two decades. Now the band has a fresh new set, even some new blood and is preparing to twist and shout like never before.

Featuring the same electrifying energy the group has added to its set of soul covers, broadening the musical genres to cover hits by everyone from the Rolling Stones to Adele and Stevie Wonder to Cee-Lo Green.

Stalwart Harry Hammersmith and the Flyovers fans won’t be disappointed as the group retains classic crowd-pleasers such as ‘Minnie the Moocher’, ‘Mustang Sally’ and ‘Dancing in the Street’, all performed as they should be - with live instruments and full brass section.

So suck up your post-Olympic blues and get yourself to The Station in Bitterne, Southampton on 9th May 2013 from 8pm (entry is free) or click here for more information.  It’s bound to be a right royal knees up.

*Harry Hammersmith & the Flyovers are in no way endorsed by the royal family.
