EIC drives networks to collaborate on customer experience

Last month, the UK’s energy distribution networks moved a step closer towards greater strategic collaboration on customer experience at our latest innovation summit.

The event, which took place in London, brought together representatives from Electricity North West, National Grid Gas, Northern Gas Networks, Northern Powergrid, SGN, SP Energy Networks, SSE Power Distribution and Wales & West Utilities, industry regulator, Ofgem, DECC and delegates from across the wider sector to explore how the industry might work together to deliver better, fairer, more accurate and responsive proactive customer service.

Opening the summit, Ofgem chief executive, Dermot Nolan, told delegates: “Through RIIO we have put in place customer incentives to encourage the energy networks to serve consumers better, and we’re delighted to see evidence that these measures are working.
