Being Efficient With Your Healthcare Dollars

Most insurance plans are based on a calendar year for benefit distribution and on January 1 deductibles reset to zero. This fact alone will cause many of you to avoid healthcare interventions. Although the temptation may be to conserve resources at the beginning of the year, this is when taking care of our minds and bodies is more important than ever. Eating healthy foods, starting or restarting an exercise routine, getting enough rest and taking care of injuries are all things that we can do to start the year off on the right foot.
Statistics show that patients respond better to physical therapy interventions for musculoskeletal conditions the sooner they are seen after becoming injured. Using physical therapy as a first line of care has resulted in better outcomes and fewer lost work days.
