We cannot wait for Grandparents’ Day!

Also, we will say our Bible Verse this week and take our Spelling Test on Thursday because of Grandparents’ Day on Friday. We will not have homework on Thursday. Students will not need to bring backpacks on Friday.

Next Week

Bible – We will study Joshua this week and use several passages. Some of them include Numbers chapters 13, 14, and 27 along with Joshua and Deuteronomy 34.
Verse - Joshua 1:9: “Haven’t I commanded you; be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Reading – We will be reviewing all of our skills from Unit I in Reading this week. These include comprehension, short and long vowel sounds, soft and hard g and c, sequence of events, compare and contrast, author’s purpose, and story structure.
Grammar – This is a review unit – we will review complete sentences with capitalization and punctuation, subject and predicate, and nouns.
Math – Zero principle of subtraction, even, odd, days of the week, months of the year, A.M., P.M., noon, and telling time to five minute intervals. Review and Chapter 3 Test, Monday.

Looking Ahead

September 29th –Grandparents’ Day @ 8:15 in the Worship Center with an early dismissal following the program. No Extended Care
October 3rd - Field trip to McGarrah farms in Pea Ridge, 9:00-12:00, Students need a sack lunch and a water bottle. Parents and siblings are welcome to meet us there, but you will have to pay $4. Students will be paid for by Shiloh.
October 5th - Pick up cookie dough- watch your e-mail for a time
October 6th - Flu shot forms due today
October 9th - Flu Shots
October 16 - Parent/Teacher Conferences 7:45-5:30 - No school for students
October 20th - Homecoming Party! 2:30-3:00 - details coming soon!
October 24th - Junior Carnival at Main Campus
