Washington DC Intervention
On Tuesday, April 16, Tea Party Patriots is urging all of our members to join activists across the nation protesting the back-room deals that are voted on before anyone can read them. Here are some basic details of the grassroots protests to be aware of.
We urge you to join your fellow patriots as they stand for the Constitution and the American people because when the Senate doesn’t read bills they pass, it doesn’t matter how good or bad the legislation is – our elected officials have failed to do their job. For more information about this, go to:

Tom & Britt Smith are planning on going to Tallahassee on Tuesday to participate in this event. If you would like to coordinate with them to make the trip please email them at: tomsmith1@windstream.net

Suwannee County Residents
REMEMBER: The Suwannee County Commission meets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16th. An item on their agenda is discussing (and voting on) beginning their meetings at a later time so that citizens can become more involved. Currently one meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. and the other at 4:00 p.m. These times make it very hard for the person who works tradtional (8 - 5) hours to attend and have input into what is going on with county government.
The Suwannee County Commission is making some big decisions on expenditures for the Catalyst Site which will house Klausner Lumber and other industry. Change is most easily made closest to home and we all need to be involved with our local governments.
If you are interested in the meeting times being changed, please come to the meeting on Tuesday. If you cannot come, please call your commissioner and let him know you would like to see the change! They meet at the Judicial Annex Building, 218 Parshley Street SW in Live Oak.

Have You Heard About the Fusion Centers?
"Fusion centers continued to support and provide for the National Suspicious Activity Reporting Initiative, including the successful rollout of the statewide “If you See Something, Say Something”™ campaign, which provides an outreach and reporting
mechanism for the public and visitors to the state regarding suspicious activities via a toll free hotline (1-855-FLA-SAFE) and webpage. On September 1, 2011, Governor Rick
Scott, FDLE Commissioner Gerald Bailey, and DHS Security Assistant Secretary of Intergovernmental Affairs Betsy Markey officially launched the campaign in Florida. Tips received through the hotline and online reporting form will go to the 24-hour watch desk at the Florida Fusion Center for analysis, and, if needed, action in conjunction with the state’s RDSTFs. The campaign includes television, radio, and print public awareness announcements throughout Florida. "--
