July has sprung upon us, albeit short of the warm rays of Sunshine. Mind you, what would we do at the Glastonbury Festival without the obligatory wellies?
Indeed Wimbledon would not be the same bereft of rain, British patience and colourful umbrellas whilst admiring the snail pace of the retractable roof. Sunday heralds the end of Wimbledon and, as if on cue, a heat wave will be with us next week.
Short of the weather, I wish to share the following with you.
Last week, Carl Morgan had the pleasure of being presented with the
Tourism Superstar Finalist certificate by none other than our Prime Minister,
the RT HON David Cameron.
Well done to Carl and his dedication to customer satisfaction.
Hot on the heels of this, on Monday night Amanda and myself attended a glittering awards ceremony at the Cheltenham Racecourse.
We again had the pleasure of meeting HRH The Princess Royal whom was guest of honour at The Cotswold Life Food and Drinks Awards.
After dinner, attended by nearly 500 guests, it was with glee and pride that
The Feathered Nest received the award for "Best Pub Restaurant 2013"
Suffice to say, it is the dedication of our staff coupled with your continuous support that make all of this possible.
