Not Goodbye, but . . . Until

"Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you." —2 Corinthians 13:11

It started with a small group of pastors in a hotel room in Denver in 2011 and became something much bigger than any of us could have imagined—a global phenomenon that has brought Jesus back to the center of the lives of thousands of people. Christ-centered people go on to inspire others—and those of you who have attended gatherings over the past seven years are a testament to this truth. You've made a difference in your local churches, and in your families, workplaces, and communities.

We have always known that it couldn't last forever, and have spent the past year contemplating how and when to draw this particular phase of our journey to an end. The Scriptures remind us that, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens . . . a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them” (Ecclesiastes 3:1,5).

The final One project gathering will take place in San Diego, California, February 11-12, 2018. This bittersweet but ultimately celebratory gathering—which will no doubt contain as many tears as smiles—will focus on the theme “Oh, How I Love Jesus!

The final three gatherings in our calendar—Atlanta (Oct 21-22, 2017), Sydney (February 3-4, 2018), and San Diego (February 11-12, 2018), will be available only to those physically present. No audio or video recordings will be made.

Thank you to every one of you who have faithfully supported the One project over the past seven years, whether through your attendance at gatherings, your donations, your kind words of affirmation, or your prayers. We will always treasure the Christ-centered relationships we've built as the result of the One project. We won't say "goodbye;" we'll simply say "until."

We are already looking forward to the next chapter in our local churches. If you're interested in collaborating with people from all over the world on local church ministry, it might be a good idea to save this date: October 19-23, 2018.

Jesus. All.
