This Is The World's First Entirely 3D-Printed Gun (Photos)

"All sixteen pieces of the Liberator prototype were printed in ABS plastic with a Dimension SST printer from 3D printing company Stratasys, with the exception of a single nail that’s used as a firing pin. The gun is designed to fire standard handgun rounds, using interchangeable barrels for different calibers of ammunition."

Stranger Visions: DNA Collected from Found Objects Used to Create 3D Portraits

"The resulting portraits are bizarre approximations of anonymous people who unknowingly left their genetic material on a random city street. So how accurate are the faces created from this genetic experiment? The artist likes to say they have a “family resemblance” and no, unlike the scenario depicted above, a person has never recognized themselves in any of her exhibitions. Yet."

Staples becomes first major US retailer to sell 3D printers with $1,299 Cube

"Staples today announced that it's begun selling 3D Systems' Cube 3D Printer for $1,299. The device won't be in stores until the end of June, and even then it will only be available from a 'limited number' of locations."
