4th Grade eNews

We can’t wait to see you at Christmas Chapel on Tuesday. These students have worked so hard with their recorders and we know the whole program will bless you!

Next Week

  • Bible - This week, we are learning about Jesus, the Lamb of God, who shed His blood for the sins of the world.
  • Bible Verse - 2 Corinthians 5:21, “He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”   
  • Spelling - Latin root word- SCRIB/SCRIP meaning “to write” (ex: scribble, scribe, script)
  • Language - Complete our expository writing pieces.
  • Math - Review measures, equivalent fractions, least common multiple
  • Science - Continue ch. 4 - Force and Motion
  • Social Studies - Daily Geography
  • Reading - Continuing our study of Plot by reading City of Ember

Important Dates

  • December 11 - Crazy Hat Day for $1 to purchase goats for Baptist Global Relief
  • December 18 - Christmas Sweatshirt, T-Shirt or Sweater for $1 to purchase goats for Baptist Global Relief
  • December 18 - Christmas parties                          
  • December 18 - Early Dismissal at 12:45; No Extended Care                  
  • December 21-January 1 - Christmas Break

Reminders

  • Sweaters and sweatshirts worn in the classroom are to be navy blue or Shiloh.
  • Be sure your child brings a warm coat. We will go outside every chance we get!
  • Metal water bottles are not allowed in the classrooms this year. Please send a plastic bottle.
