GOV.UK - Deserved winners?

The Gov.uk website won the ‘Designs of the Year 2013′ award, but why?

On the surface it doesn't look like anything all that impressive.

However, maybe it’s not what the design looks like but what it has accomplished that is so remarkable.

Our other blog posts include:

2013 so far...

Since January we have found interesting customer experience stories and ideas for you in lots of different areas:

The Customer Experience Forum 2013

We are excited to reveal we will be running our first ever 1-day user experience research and design event. It's a brand only event of keynotes and workshops at the RSA house, London. If you're interested you can sign up for a ticket on our website

Here is a peek at the workshops as they currently stand:

  • Understand your customers - how to get that competitive edge
  • Experience strategy - the online/offline customer journey
  • Future trends - what should you be planning for?
  • Content strategy - are you telling the right story?
  • Online fundamentals - so you think you’ve got a good website?
  • Getting the most from mobile - apps, mobile web and responsive design

Industry Insider - Education

In 2012 university applications dropped by 8%, and again in 2013 by 6%.

Unsurprisingly, we have seen a influx of education and University clients as changes in the market, in particular tuition fees, have altered the way the universities look at their business models, and critically their digital strategies.

Inspired by this we have decided to look at 10 different universities and assess their online presence to see if they are making the most of user experience to attract new students. This report is coming soon - request your copy to get it before anyone else.

See how we worked with the University of Hull to help them improve their student experience - a really interesting user-centred design project!

We're recruiting!

We're growing so we have loads of exciting opportunities for great people in user experience and project management, including:

  • User experience consultant

You'll lead on UX projects, supervise consultants and help manage client relations.

  • Project manager

We're looking for that special someone to set up, implement and own the necessary structures and processes for project and program management across Webcredible.

Interested? Email uxjobs@webcredible.com with a covering letter and CV and you could be working here sooner than you think!
