Discovering cultures and languages through the artsOn Wednesday 24 April, Amanda Macdonald and Tilka Brown visited Kananook Primary School as part of a special event to showcase the school's Hindi language program. The school is involved in the ELLA F–2 schools trial and the Principal, Michael Block, is thrilled that his Foundation students have access to the Hindi ELLA apps to assist with their learning. The Indian Consulate General, members of the local Hindi temple and representatives from local preschools and schools were also invited. The event coincided with the arrival of students and teachers from Kananook’s sister school in India and all guests were treated to a special performance by the Kananook school choir. The day was a beautiful blend of music, culture and language.
