• Introducing Reef Property Services • New Voting Location for PGA Residents • General Drive Entry Modernizations • Front Exit Gate Repairs • Ryder Cup / PGA Boulevard Gate Closure • HOA Board Member Education RequirementsIntroducing Reef Property Services ![]() We are pleased to announce that the Championship Property Owners Association has moved to a new property management company, Reef Property Services. After many years with RealManage, a Dallas-area company (formerly United Community Management of Coral Springs, FL), the Championship Board evaluated several local companies to ensure we found the best fit. Reef Property Services, based here in Palm Beach Gardens, stood out for its commitment to personalized service, excellent accounting services, and deep local expertise. The transition to Reef Property Services begins today, November 1, 2024, and we anticipate a smooth and efficient change. Homeowners and residents are reminded that many of their concerns are best handled by their own HOA (Homeowners' Association). However, if the issue involves a broader Eagleton matter, reaching out to Reef Property Services may be more appropriate. Our Property Manager at Reef is Mary Liu, who can be reached at (561) 679-4800 (call/text) or at mary@reef-ps.com. The Reef management team has assured us they "strive to exceed expectations and become a true partner by professionally handling both our day-to-day and long-term needs." The Championship Board looks forward to building a lasting relationship with them. Voting Location Change Notice Election Day is just a few days away! Please note that if you previously cast your ballot at Christ Fellowship Church on Northlake Boulevard, your voting location has been changed. General Drive Entry Enhancements As reported in recent newsletters, renovations to transform the General Drive entry from a maintenance-style access point into a more welcoming and aesthetically pleasing entrance for our homeowners are progressing smoothly. ![]() Several additional improvements are still underway, but overall, the project is on track. We thank the various contractors for their continued efforts in bringing this enhanced community entry to completion quickly, and we extend our appreciation to homeowners for their patience during this process. We apologize for any inconveniences caused and look forward to homeowners enjoying the final improvements soon. Front Exit Gate Repairs Over the past weekend, we experienced technical issues that temporarily affected the functionality of one of the front exit gates, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. ![]() Our dedicated gate repair technicians arrived early Monday morning to diagnose and resolve the issue. Thanks to their swift efforts, the repairs were completed yesterday, and the gate is now back in full working order. We remain committed to ensuring reliable and secure access for our residents and will continue to monitor the gate's performance closely. Thank you once again for your cooperation and support as we work to maintain the smooth operation of our community's facilities. Ryder Cup / PGA Boulevard Gate Closure ![]() The PGA Property Owners' Association (PGA-POA) has advised that major renovations and repairs are scheduled for the gatehouse on Ryder Cup Boulevard at PGA Boulevard. These essential repairs, including mold remediation, will prevent gate officers from staffing the gatehouse and managing access for both residents and visitors. The necessary repairs are anticipated to take approximately four weeks to complete. From 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, one lane will remain open at all times for free-flow access to both residents and visitors. During the overnight access control hours from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, the resident gate will permit entry to barcode-registered residents only. Visitors arriving during these hours will be redirected, via signage, to the entry further east at Avenue of the Champions and PGA Boulevard. Email and text messages with further details are being scheduled and will be sent to homeowners, and signs will be posted. The PGA-POA would appreciate you letting your guests who you expect to arrive after 9:00 PM know that they must enter PGA National via one of the other entry points. The PGA-POA appreciates the patience and understanding of all PGA residents as these necessary improvements are completed to ensure a safe and functional gatehouse. New Education Mandates for HOA and POA Directors in 2024 ![]() In the 2024 legislative session in Tallahassee, several new laws were introduced that impact Florida's community associations. Among these changes are updated education requirements, which now make specific courses mandatory for directors in both HOAs and POAs. With the passage of House Bill 1203, completion of a board certification course is now required for any new directors elected or appointed after July 1, 2024. These directors must complete an education course administered by the Florida Division of Business and Professional Regulation or an approved course. Certification will be valid for four years, after which directors will need to retake a board certification course. Board members in Eagleton are encouraged to reach out to their management companies for more information on these new requirements and to ensure they remain in compliance.
