Student Safety Abroad

All students who plan to travel on university activity are encouraged to complete a Personal Travel Form to be entered in Campus Safety's Student Safety Abroad Registry. Registration for personal travel is optional.

The Student Safety Abroad Policy was approved at the June 12, 2015 Open Session meeting of the Board of Governors of the University of Lethbridge and came into effect September 1, 2015. This policy is available to view online.

Federal Government Post-Secondary Recruitment campaign

It’s that time again—the Federal Government has begun their annual Post-Secondary Recruitment campaign for 2015!  There are a number of specific job opportunities available for students who will be graduating at the end of the year, as well as general subject–based inventories that students can apply for.  

The application deadline for these positions is October 6.  See the SGS website for details.

 
 

Human Research Ethics workshops

October 1 from 9 to 10 a.m.;
October 5 from 9 to 10 a.m.; and
October 7 from 10 to 11 a.m.

Participants in each Human Research Ethics workshop session will be encouraged to identify ethical issues in the design, conduct and oversight of research, and to contribute ethically acceptable solutions to these issues.

Animal Research Ethics workshops

October 1 from 2 to 3 p.m.;
October 5 from 2 to 3 p.m.; and
October 7 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Participants in each Animal Research Ethics workshop session will be given a brief overview of the Canadian Council on Animal Care, and its role in oversight of the ethical use and care of animal in science throughout Canada. Participants will also be introduced to the internationally accepted tenet of the Three Rs (Replacement, Reduction and Refinement) that guides those using animals for scientific purposes.
